Hii! I have a question. Can you enroll different courses at the same time? I mean courses with free lessons and free certificate. And in some courses that I’d tried to enroll, when I click to purchase course, says that I have to write my bank account so its not free, that’s not checkout option… Looking forward to hearing from you!

Access is one thing, but a complete course experience is another. we need to distinguish between a course like CS50 on Edx, which offers a complete experience for free, vs many courses on Coursera (or lately Edx), that allow access to videos but not much else. The AI for Medicine, for e.g. offers an audit experience, but also hides some course exercises, quizzes etc.

As we note in the article, the certificates are paid but all the contents of the course including graded assignments are free. For other Coursera courses, the graded assignments are also behind the certificate paywall.

With Coursera it is pretty fair because you can apply for financial aid. The big issue I had is edX does not have this option. If you wait two weeks you can get into a lot of courses. I did this when I was working in a factory and it was great as it enabled me to go back over college courses I had struggled with when I was younger.

वास्तव में, मैंने जो सुना है, उसके अनुसार किसी पाठ्यक्रम के लिए edX से वित्तीय सहायता प्राप्त करना उतना कठिन नहीं है। नकारात्मक पक्ष यह है कि 1) सहायता प्रमाणपत्र मूल्य की संपूर्णता को कवर नहीं करती है (अधिकतम राशि 90% है), और 2) आप इसके लिए प्रति वर्ष 5 से अधिक पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए आवेदन नहीं कर सकते हैं।
और इसीलिए कौरसेरा पर आपके विचार से सहमत हैं। उनके एफए ने मेरी भी बहुत मदद की है, और इसके अलावा, यह बहुत अच्छा है कि उनके पास अभी भी खुले असाइनमेंट के साथ बहुत सारे पाठ्यक्रम मुफ्त में उपलब्ध हैं। IMO ने edX के मार्ग में जो सबसे बड़ी समस्या है, वह प्रमाणपत्रों तक वहनीय पहुँच की कमी से भी बड़ी है।
अक्सर, आपको प्रमाणपत्र की आवश्यकता नहीं हो सकती है। लेकिन अगर आप वास्तव में सामग्री के माध्यम से काम करने का इरादा रखते हैं, तो लॉक-अप असाइनमेंट/परीक्षा वाला कोर्स YT या एक अच्छी वृत्तचित्र श्रृंखला देखने से बहुत अलग नहीं है। जहां तक मेरा संबंध है, इसे edX पर बिना किसी सबक्रिप्शन मॉडल के जोड़ें और यह कौरसेरा के लिए 1:0 है।
